HTC has sent out invites for an event which is scheduled for October 20 wherein the company is expected to unveil a new smartphone – HTC One A9. For the event, HTC has reportedly started sending press invites that say, “Meet the Marshmallow from HTC,” tipping that the company’s upcoming device would run the latest Android OS. The HTC event will begin at 9:30PM IST.
Just a few days before the event, new leaked images have surfaced, courtesy of Twitter user @OnLeaks, but has not shared any information regarding specifications. If the leaks turn out to be true, the new smartphone will adopt a curved aluminium uni-body design with inlaid plastic lines for the antennas.
It will also have a raised circular-shaped camera hump along with a microSD and SIM card slot placed on the side respectively. The dummy piece also has a logo of AT&T on the display screen which indicates that the new smartphone might be exclusive to the US carrier.
Going by the rumours and leaks, there is no concrete specs sheet out yet, but the device might sport a 5-inch full-HD display with a 1080 x 1920 resolution Amoled display. It will be powered by 2GB of RAM and could include 16GB of inbuilt storage along with an expandable microSD card. It will be equipped with a 13MP rear camera, 4-UltraPixel front-facing camera with OIS and BSI sensors along with a 2150mAh battery.
