A couple of days back there were reports about the Apple Watch 2 likely to feature magnetic wrist band. The buzz has been around the launch of the second generation Watch from Apple coming this March. However, a new report now claims otherwise.

Citing people related to the matter, a report by Techcrunch claims that the Apple Watch 2 may not launch in March. However, the report adds that we may see partnerships, accessories and likewise related to the watch, but not to expect a hardware leap. The report also cites sources from Apple’s supply chain that hints no signs of the Watch 2 coming anytime soon.

Recently, a report revealed the possibility of the new generation Apple Watch 2 to come with a new type of swappable band in the form of a magnetically closed Milanese Loop band. This new design was spotted on the the US Patent and Trademark Office website.

Earlier reports have been hinting at the Apple Watch 2 launch along with the 4-inch iPhone 6c (now called the iPhone 5e) at an event in March. The Watch was then said to start shipping by April. Adding fuel to the fire was the fact that the first gen Apple Watch had started shipping in April last year.
