Reve Systems introduces number portability technology


Bangladeshi multi-national company, Reve Systems has unveiled the ‘number portability’ option for users whereby they will be able to keep the same mobile phone number upon changing mobile operators. The company introduced this technology at the world’s largest display of tech – Mobile World Congress, which takes place in Barcelona, Spain.

It was informed from Reve Systems that the technology is already being employed in Brazil. There was also interest from certain European countries that want to adopt this new technology and they are currently inspecting the technology. Aside from ‘number portability,’ other products and services that were showcased by Reve Systems include ‘iTel Mobile Dialer’ and ‘iTel Switch.’

A popular means of IP Configuration, iTel Mobile Dialer, can make audio calls, along with SMS, group chat, file sharing, video call and mobile top-up facilities. On the other hand, the iTel Switch has advanced routing options, instant wholesale and pin-less cards, along with advanced security options.

ICT State Minister Zunaid Ahmed Palak, Telecom State Minister Tarana Halim, Telecommunication and ICT Ministry’s Standing Committee Chairman Imran Ahmed, BTRC Chairman Shahjahan Mahmud, and BTCL Managing Director Golam Fakhruddin Ahmed Chowdhury, visited Reve Systems Pavilion during the 4 day exposition.

Also, at this time, Reve Systems Founder and Chief Executive Rezaul Hasan, and Head of Global Sales Raihan Hossain were present. This was the 8th consecutive time that Reve Systems have taken part in this event. The head quarters of this company which serves 78 countries is situated in Singapore, while its R&D centers are placed in Bangladesh and India.
