Google celebrates leap year with new doodle

Google has introduced its newest doodle on the 29th of February. The latest doodle celebrates the leap year and you can access the doodle on Google’s homepage.

Leap year, which has 366 days instead of 365 days, comes every 4 years. The extra day is shown on the last day of the month of February.

The doodle features the story of three little bunnies. The animation starts with two of the bunnies sleeping with the numbers 28 and 1 written on them. The numbers represent the 28th of February and the 1st of March. Another bunny, with 29 written on its body, slips in between the two sleeping bunnies.

If you click on the doodle, you will get to see news and events for the special day.

This is not the first time Google has come up with a doodle to mark an occasion. The search engine giant had previously celebrated many events and occasions of varying traditions with its doodles.
