Banglalink subscribers can browse 45,000 Govt. websites Free


Banglalink subscribers can now browse 45,000 government websites for free. An agreement was signed during a program organized by A2I on the eve of women’s day. State Minister for Post and Telecommunications, Tarana Halim, was present at the occasion as chief guest.

With this initiative, Banglalink subscribers can now freely browse the Bangladesh National Portal and other portals listed under it. These include the ministry portals, 351 government departmental websites, the 8 divisional websites, 64 district websites, 489 upazilla websites and 4550 union websites among others.

Director General, Prime Minister’s Office (Admin) and A2i Project Director Kabir Bin Anwar signed the agreement on behalf of A2i. Teletalk’s Managing Director, Gias Uddin Ahmed and Chief Commercial Officer of Banglalink, Shihab Ahmed also signed the agreement.

UNDP Bangladesh Country Director, Pauline Tamesis and Microsoft Bangladesh Country Director, Sonia Kabir Bashir were also present at the occasion. The program was chaired by Suraiya Begum, Secretary, Prime Minister’s Office. Kabir Bin Anwar presented the welcome speech at the event.
