The largest global hackathon in the world “NASA Space Apps Challenge,” organized by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) is going to take in Bangladesh for the second time. One of the country’s top e-commerce websites, Bagdoom.com, has become the main sponsor of this event.
Recently, a MoU was signed between Bagdoom.com and BASIS, the local organizer of International Space Apps Challenge.
The MoU signing ceremony took place in the board room of BASIS. Director of BASIS and the convener of NASA Space Apps Challenge, Ariful Hasan Opu, and COO of Bagdoom.com Monowar Hossain Khan signed the MoU on behalf of their respective organizations.
BASIS Senior Vice President, Russell T. Ahmed, Vice President M. Rashidul Hasan, founder of NASA Camp Ambassador and CEO Afroz R Mamun and CMO of Bagdoom.com Mirazul Haque were present on the occasion.
The NASA Space Apps Challenge of Bangladesh will take place in Dhaka, Rajshahi and Chittagong from 22nd to 24th of April, 2016. The winners of the local competitions will participate in the final hackathon. BASIS is the local organizer of the event.
